t (Laing O’Rourke)\, Paul Sills (Arbitra)\n\nINFORMATION FOR MEMBERS ABO
UT THE TECBAR ADJUDICATION PANEL\n\nTECBAR Adjudication panel\n\nTECBAR ha
s a panel of accredited Adjudicators.  This is publicly available at  ht
tps://tecbar.org/adr/adjudication/.  Membership of the panel is subject t
o review by and approval of the TECBAR Committee.\n\nPanel membership crit
eria are periodically reconsidered\, and notice will be given of any inten
ded changes effective from no earlier than the second half of 2025.  In t
he meantime the Committee wants to encourage and facilitate panel membersh
ip for all members.\n\nFrom January 2024 there will be two routes to inclu
sion on the panel:\n\n Existing panel members may stay on the panel provi
ded they carry out appropriate CPD.\n New applicants may apply to join th
e panel\, subject to completion of appropriate training to act as Adjudica
tor.\n\nAs above\, TECBAR will be providing training in 2024 as one means
by which members may satisfy the CPD requirement and/or apply for inclusio
n on the panel.  All TECBAR members are welcome to attend\, irrespective
of current or planned panel membership.\n\nExisting Panel Members\n\nExist
ing panel members may stay on the panel\, but will be subject to a require
ment that they plan\, carry out and record appropriate CPD which is releva
nt to acting as Adjudicator.  It is expected that most practising Adjudic
ators or those wishing to practise as Adjudicator will already be on the E
stablished Practitioner Programme and will already be including such CPD i
n their annual plans.  Those who are not on the EPP should adopt the EPP
for this purpose.\n\nThe BSB Guidance states:\n\n“CPD is work undertaken
over and above your normal commitments as a barrister. CPD is undertaken
with a view to developing your skills\, knowledge and professional standar
ds in areas relevant to your present or proposed area of practice. This is
in order to keep yourself up to date and maintain the highest standards o
f professional practice.”\n\nTECBAR does not prescribe the CPD which mus
t be carried out by panel members\, but panel members’ CPD should be rev
iewed and planned\, recorded and reflected upon on an individual basis as
set out in the existing BSB Guidance and in the same manner as other CPD.\
n\nPanel members may in future be required to make an annual declaration a
nd/or to demonstrate compliance if requested.\n\nAttendance at either of t
his year’s TECBAR’s Adjudicator Training in 2024 will be considered to
satisfy the relevant CPD requirement and is encouraged.\n\nNew Applicants
\n\nTECBAR members may apply for membership of the panel\, subject to sati
sfactory completion of the TECBAR Adjudicator Training (or an equivalent f
rom another provider) and the TECBAR Dispute Resolution Appointments Appli
cation Form.\n\nThereafter they should comply with the CPD requirement app
 licable to Existing Panel Members.\n\n&nbsp\;
