The programme will be equivalent to 6 hours’ CPD. Attendance at the Conference will help members achieve learning objectives for the following knowledge and skill areas which are identified by the BSB as those which barristers should consider in their CPD plans:
• Legal knowledge and skills: in particular as to developments in construction law and practice, in the fields of contracts and professional negligence, and forthcoming developments in civil procedure relating to disclosure;
• Practice management, Working with clients and others, and Ethics, professionalism and judgement: specifically by addressing equality and diversity issues that may arise out of recruitment and management of employees, in dealing with clients and others in practice, and the implications for practice of equality and diversity legislation and regulations.
