On 11 January 2026, Mr Justice Constable took over from Mr Justice Waksman as Judge in Charge of the Technology and Construction Court (“TCC”).
TECBAR would like to record its thanks to Mr Justice Waksman for his stewardship of the TCC since October 2018, a period which has included overseeing several changes to the TCC’s practices and procedures and the various challenges that had to be faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. From January 2026, Waksman has returned to the Commercial Court, but will retain a TCC-ticket.
Mr Justice Constable became a full-time Judge of the Technology and Construction Court in 2023 after a distinguished career at the Bar, and has already begun to take an active involvement in improving the processes of the TCC in a range of issues including through the TCC/BSA Working Group set up in May 2024.
