TECBAR/TECSA Jane Lemon QC Memorial Competition

01 Aug 2020

Members will recall the competition that was jointly run by TECBAR and TECSA in memory of the much-loved Jane Lemon QC.

The entries were judged by Mr Justice Fraser who after careful consideration commented on the high standard of the entries and after careful consideration identified the winner and runners up as follows:

  • Winner: Matthew Finn of Keating Chambers “Arbitration and Litigation – wary combatants or mutually supportive regimes”
  • Second place: John Steel of Keating Chambers “Bribes for Contracts, and Contracts for Bribes”
  • Third place: Thomas Saunders of Keating Chambers “The Discretionary Enforcement of New York Convention Awards”

We had hoped to be able to be able to announce these at a garden party or other event but that has proved impossible.

The winning entries will be published in TECBAR Review, probably in the Autumn/Winter edition.

Many congratulations and thank you to all that took part.

Could the winners please contact me at jstephens@4pumpcourt.com to arrange delivery of their prizes?

On behalf of TECBAR and TECSA, have a safe and pleasant summer.
